Basant in Lahore 2026: Patang Mela and Patang Bahaar

Festival dates: Friday, February 6, 2026 to Sunday, February 8, 2026

Lahore is ready to welcome spring again with Basant celebrations returning under a regulated framework.     Think rooftops, color, chai, music, and the city feeling alive. To mark the moment, we created two khussas that     look like Basant and wear like an all day plan.

A short Basant story

Basant is a spring celebration that Lahoris associate with bright skies, community energy, and a love for craft.     After many years, Basant celebrations are returning to Lahore with tighter rules focused on safety and responsible enjoyment.     The excitement is real because an entire generation has mostly heard stories, not seen the season in full color.

The two Basant khussas

Patang Mela

Patang Mela features bright kite embroidery on a butter yellow base with a clean neckline and classic silhouette.     Cushioned inside and a flexible leather sole keep it comfortable from rooftop fly time to late night chai.

Color direction: Basant yellow with multicolour kite embroidery
Best for: day events, rooftop plans, white shalwar kameez, lawn, denim, and simple solids
